Introduction

Hey Everyone,

For our first assignment Dr. Price asked that we tell a little about ourselves. Well, I am a sophomore from Westchester, NY, currently studying at the University of Connecticut. I am majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and I hope to become a high school biology teacher and later, a professor at the Univeristy level. I consider myself bi-cultural, in that I identify with bothy my Italian and German heritages, but ethnically I consider myself a Caucasian American. I am very involved with the church and my faith as a Roman Catholic is something that I am very proud of.

In the little bit of spare time that I have I love to just hang out with my friends and have a good time. I think that it is important to surround yourself with fun and uplifting people, because life is short and you might as well make the best you can of every situation. I truly believe that laughter is the best remedy and people who can laugh at themselves will enjoy life the most.

On campus I am involved in so many different things, from my job as an Intercollegiate Athletic Tutor, to my philanthropic work within my sorority, Alpha Phi. I truly enjoy being involved and meeting all different types of people. I hope that this class will continue to allow me to explore my own diversity as well as the diversity of my classmates.

xoxo
Kris
